My name is Miranda Chedester. I recently graduated from Dakota State University in Madison, South Dakota. My degree is in Elementary Education. Currently, I am a nanny, volunteer with the Humane Society, member of Dakota State's Kappa Sigma Iota Academic Honor Society, mentor with Climb, member of The National Society of Leadership and Success, and a life-long learner. I aspire to make a difference in children's lives and hope to inspire my students the same way my teachers inspired me. When I am not working with children, I enjoy traveling, being outdoors, watching movies, taking pictures and learning something new! My passions are about empowering others, spreading kindness and showing compassion! .
I grew up on a farm near Hurley, South Dakota and have learned many qualities that will help me in my professional career. First, working around the clock to keep our farm up and running, I have acquired the value of hard work. My dedicated personality helps me to persevere through any challenge that I may face. I am always up for a challenge! Second, I have learned to always give. This quality has helped shape my caring nature and brought me into the teaching profession. I knew while looking for a major I wanted to make a difference, and choosing to help children blossom into their true potential is a great way in doing so. I cannot wait to start shaping little minds!
